Hello, Maxi Dress!

Remember when I said my closet and I are ready for spring to come? WE ARE SO READY. Here is my new maxi dress to prove it. I found this little number at Ross a couple weeks ago and have been anxiously waiting for a beautiful day to bring it out!

Today I would like to debunk a myth that I have been told my whole life in regards to how to add coverage to a sleeveless dress.

“Just put a white shirt under it.”

FALSE.

Although a white shirt is a great way to add more coverage to a summer dress, it isĀ not your only option. Today I chose a navy shirt to put under my dress (which matches in person and looks too dark in the photos, I promise!).

Here are some of your options to add coverage to a tank style dress : A coordinating or matching color shirt – white is definitely an option as it goes with every color just don’t limit yourself, a light cardigan, a linen blazer/jacket, denim jacket, an office style blazer (to dress it up a little, maybe wear it to work or an event) or wearing a loose shirt over the top (depending on the shirt choice of course) would change up the dress or make it look like a skirt shirt combo.

The possibilities are endless! Try something new!

This is what happens when you ask your brother to take pictures for you. Never boring with family around.
